Fort Thomas Locals Breathe New Life Into Historic Midway District Buildings
Two buildings in the historic Midway district are getting a new look — and some new tenants. The once-decrepit buildings, located at 1011 and 1013 S. Fort Thomas Avenue, were purchased by Kyle Stevie and Chris Reid in December. The men, both Fort Thomas locals, took an interest in the buildings' historic past and shared a vision for the buildings' future: to see them as a commercial hub in the historic Midway district.
Renovations are currently underway to return the buildings to their former glory. Once completed this summer, the buildings will house businesses on the first floor and apartments on the second floor. It's yet to be revealed who will lease the commercial space.
