Have Challah French Toast for Brunch at Branch, Now Open in East Walnut Hills
Branch is so named because nearly 100 years before it would become a restaurant, it was the first local branch of the Central Trust bank. You can still see some remnants of its former life in the new restaurant, which just debuted in December. Ornate molding, vintage chandeliers, and a wrought-iron gate to the downstairs bar all hint at it.
The cool atmosphere is just half of the reason you should visit Branch, the other half being its contemporary American food and drink. Come for dinner to share plates like Israeli chickpea salad and chili-smoked wings, or dig right into an entree such as confit tuna or black-garlic ribs. At brunch, you can try delicious dishes like challah French toast with rosemary custard or shrimp and grits. Don’t forget to grab a craft cocktail, too, regardless of the hour you visit.
