  1. The Butterfly Show

One of the highly-anticipated events at the Krohn Conservatory is the annual Butterfly Show, which typically takes place from May through August. This experience invites visitors to view hundreds of beautiful butterflies and botanical marvels. Each year, the curated displays for this event are created around a designated theme, such as “Gothica Botanica”. From the multitude of different butterflies and the plant design to the additional show-related activities such as the Butterfly Ball or Butterfly Yoga, there are many reasons that Cincinnati locals and visitors alike look forward to this show each year.

  1. The Holiday Show

From approximately the beginning of November through the start of the new year, Krohn Conservatory hosts its annual Holiday Show. As with the Butterfly Show, each year has its own theme, such as the “Festival of Ferns.” For many people, a trip to view the carefully-designed plant displays complete with classic trains and the city’s most well-known landmarks is an annual part of their holiday plans. There are also multiple activities and events that may occur in conjunction with this show, such as an indoor guided Forest Bathing Walk, live musical performances and a special storytime!
