Healthy, Innovative Sandwiches and Salads Await at Melt Eclectic Cafe

A mere month after opening the first Melt Eclectic Cafe in the Northside of Cincinnati, its owners announced at the end of August that they'd be adding a second location downtown in the Contemporary Arts Center. Now a few months later, that promise has come to fruition, and Melt Eclectic Cafe is open for business on 6th Street.

Like the original location, the eatery specializes in fresh sandwiches and salads, many of them with vegan options. Skip the meat and try the tempeh pesto club, a stack of smoke-infused tempeh strips, Roma tomato slices, mayo, and mixed greens with a smattering of pepita pesto. Meat-eaters may prefer the Hoffner, a sandwich featuring Sixten Brick's OTR Rye bread stuffed with slowly braised brisket, wild mushrooms and shallots, Swiss cheese, baby spinach, and horseradish cream. Add a side of Zesty Superfood Stew or buffalo mac and cheese to complete your meal.
