Newport on the Levee Ice Rink: The Biggest of Its Kind in Kentucky
This year marks the 10th annual Winter Wonder on the Levee, a local tradition designed to bring family fun to Newport every year. To honor this important birthday, the three-month celebration added a new element: the Newport on the Levee Ice Rink.
It opened on November 25th during the kick-off Light Up the Levee event, and it will remain open through February 18th. This isn’t your average ice-skating rink, though—it’s the biggest outdoor rink anywhere in Kentucky. At a whopping 9,000 square feet, the rink boasts ample space for skaters of all ability levels to practice their figure 8s. Don’t worry if you don’t have your own skates, you can grab a rental pair at the Levee Skate Shack right next to Brio. Admission to the rink with rental skates is $15 for adults, but only $10 if you bring your own pair.
