Ohio State Senator Steve Wilson Fills 7th District Vacancy
In Warren County political news, Steve Wilson has been appointed the new senator to represent Ohio’s 7th Senate District. The retired banker, who served as the CEO (and current chairman) of LCNB Corp and LCNB National Bank, was sworn into office on Jan. 25.
Senator Wilson was selected to represent Ohio’s 7th Senate District due to his four decades' worth of experience in public and private sectors. Moreover, Wilson is a longtime Warren County resident (his district encompasses Warren County and parts of Hamilton and Butler counties). Not only will Wilson advocate for his constituents, he promises to "support the conservative values of the voters of Ohio’s 7th Senate District," according to an article in My Dayton Daily News. His focus will be on job creation.
Senator Wilson was appointed following a screening committee’s recommendation and replaces former State Senator Shannon Jones, who resigned to serve as Warren County Commissioner.
