Our Favorite Dog-Friendly Spots in Cincinnati

Living in Cincinnati is a good move for humans who love to go out and enjoy the outdoors, do happy hour, or otherwise explore city life. But it's also an ideal spot for dogs. Tons of places in the city welcome your pup, including the following parks and patio.

The Dog Park at Washington Park
You'll never have to worry about your dog feeling crowded at The Dog Park at Washington Park. It encompasses 12,000 square feet of play space, all safely surrounded by a fence. Outfitted with a special canine-friendly type of turf and pea gravel, the park remains clean and beautiful. Plus, it boasts fun features like a creek for splashing around in and granite boulders for climbing, not to mention drinking fountains for both pooches and pet owners.

BrewRiver GastroPub
When you're craving a beer and your dog is craving some sunshine, head to BrewRiver GastroPub. With 23 craft beers on tap and a dog-friendly patio, it's the perfect spot for a pet owner and pup to spend a sunny afternoon. It also dishes out authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine to accompany your beer, and live music often floats through the dining room and out onto the patio.

Hiking at French Park
There are more than 275 acres to explore at French Park, and you're welcome to bring your pooch along for the journey. Named for French House, the historic building that serves as the focal point of the park, French Park offers many miles' worth of hiking trails, some meandering along creeks and through meadows. Neither you nor your canine will get bored on a hike at French Park.
