Returning to Cincinnati in March: Bockfest

“Bock” refers to a dark, German-style lager that’s minimally hopped and full of malty flavors. It’s the headlining brew at Bockfest, a free annual event in Cincinnati. The festival celebrates bock beers and the warm, colorful community of the city in equal measure from March 1st to the 3rd at venues throughout Cincinnati.

While bartenders pour locally crafted suds like Hudepohl’s Festival Bock and Schoenling’s bock, you can explore a variety of attractions and entertainment. To kick off the fun on Friday night, a parade streams through downtown Cincinnati, backed by live music, hot food, and frosty suds. Then on Saturday morning, sweat off those beer calories at the Bockfest 5K before you take a tour of a local brewery or check out the Beer & Bygone Days presentation series. Don’t miss the Billygoat Ball and more live music on Saturday night, and check out Games, Germans, & Gemütlichkeit on Sunday, followed by a “Bockfeast” dinner.
