The Dent Schoolhouse Brings the Frights This October
The tale of the Dent Schoolhouse may be unfounded, but even so, hearing it might make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up before you even walk through the front door. Legend has it that deranged janitor Charlie did more than just sweep the floors here in the '40s and '50s—he snatched and dismembered more than a dozen students during his reign of terror. By the time Cincinnati parents descended upon the school and discovered the horror he'd left behind, Charlie had skipped town. He was never heard from again.
But rumor has it Charlie snuck back into the school before he died and that his ghost still roams its halls today, along with the specters of his victims. Come to the haunted house, considered one of the scariest in all of Cincinnati, to meet Charlie and a cast of other ghoulish characters. Horror connoisseurs say that the attention to detail here is almost spooky, so even if a haunted house doesn't usually get your heart racing, you might have a different experience here—especially thanks to the live actors. Tickets start at $20.
