The Lebanon Horse Drawn Carriage Parade Returns This Weekend

Lots of communities have holiday parades, but few parades are as picturesque as the Lebanon Horse Drawn Carriage Parade & Festival. As you can probably surmise from its name, this parade doesn’t contain your average floats. Instead, it’s made up entirely of horse-drawn carriages decked out in honor of the season. The 30th Annual Lebanon Horse Drawn Carriage Parade is slated to come to town on Saturday, December 1st at 10 a.m.

The first of two parades kicks off at 1 p.m. on North Broadway Street, but if you can’t make it to that one, t he evening parade begins at 7 p.m. In between, spend time browsing the shops that will be open late along the street, or enjoy live music and a train ride on the “Polar Express.” You might even catch a glimpse of Santa and Mrs. Claus or strolling carolers. The festival is free and open to the public.
